Earth-Rite DGS

The Earth-Rite® II DGS Dual Grounding System (DGS) features two independent ground monitoring circuits, enabling operators to simultaneously ground and continuously monitor two metal conductive plant items to less than 10 Ohms, such as bulk transportation vehicles, Ex IBCs, or metal drums. This system is commonly used for grounding trucks and tank cars during transloading operations or when loading/unloading up to two trucks or tank cars at dedicated loading racks. Interlocking the grounding system with process equipment ensures safety and proper operation before starting the process. If the ground is lost, the Earth-Rite® II DGS can shut down the process for one or both channels.

FEATURES

  • Three red/green LEDs provide clear indication when resistance to earth is 10 Ohms or less, in compliance with NFPA 77.
  • Monitors the resistance of the ground loop from the grounded object to the verified true earth grounding point.
  • Features two dry output contacts for interlocking with electromechanical devices or PLC systems to stop product flow if static charge accumulation is detected.
  • Includes two VESX90-IP 2-pole heavy-duty stainless steel static grounding and monitoring clamps with tungsten carbide contacts for improved metal-to-metal contact and a spiral cable with in-line quick-connect.
  • Supplied with two 32 ft. (10 m) Cen-Stat blue hytrel-sheathed spiral cables with junction boxes and quick-connect fittings.
  • Comes with two intrinsically safe GRP junction boxes for wiring, quick connection, and clamp stowage.
  • Includes one pair of handles for opening and closing the enclosure lid.
  • Backed by a two-year warranty.
